Techniques include CBT, TF-CBT, DBT, structural family therapy, and an overall person-centered approach.

To treat the entire well-being of clients, Michelle’s approach assesses the mental, emotional, physical, and relational health for contributing factors preventing you from reaching your goals. From here, you will work together to break down barriers, generate insight, and create positive change in a supportive environment.

Therapy together can look like processing daily or life events, developing skills, managing symptoms, or receiving support. Through sessions, you will explore the impacts of presenting challenges and utilize strategies to meet goals and enhance overall functioning.

  • To continue pursuit of clinical expertise, Michelle is currently engaged in research surrounding relationship dynamics and alternative therapeutic approaches.

Some of Michelle’s favorite things include her puppy Boss, the color green, and hiking.

“I love connecting with and learning from others, and helping them connect the dots in their life. My favorite part is getting to know someone through sessions and actually building a therapeutic relationship where we are not only working through things together, but can also laugh and have a genuine connection. I think this is much more successful than a super formal process where someone ends up not wanting to engage in therapy. I genuinely care about each client meeting their goals and feeling supported while we work together. Honestly, my connections with clients are one of the most valuable things I’ve created in this life.”

“I believe that as humans, it is natural to have our own ‘stuff’ going on, but some may struggle with the ability to navigate through dark times without feeling shattered and lost. With positive support and guidance in therapy, the ability to triumph through darkness can be discovered, and it’s like you’re able to finally start seeing the sunshine appear after being in darkness for quite some time. It is a great feeling when you realize that you have triumphed your way through darkness but you weren’t alone getting to a place where you can finally feel the sunshine again.”
